Yadah 1-0 Green Fuel

YADAH’S new coach, Expense Chitukutuku got off to a winning Castle Lager Premiership debut after his side edged new boys Green Fuel at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.

The Miracle Boys got the all-important goal in the 10th minute through Mandlenkosi Mlilo who scrambled the ball home in a goal-mouth melee.

It was all the hosts needed in this encounter against the PSL newcomers who were jaded in the first half.
Chitukutu hailed his troops for sticking to the game plan.

“I am very happy to get this result because the youngsters followed the game plan and played with a lot of discipline,” said Chitukutuku.

The coach believes their movement without the ball made them better than their opponents.
Chitukutuku says they have not set any targets as a club.

“We take every game as it comes and we will see where we will be at the end of the season. If they leave us to win all the games, then we will be on top,” he said.

Green Fuel coach Lloyd ”Samaita” Mutasa said his debutants had a poor showing in the opening half and failed to recover.
“We had a bad first half in the midfield and defence. I think we gave them too much room to manoeuvre and they got their goal.

We came better in the second half but we could not find the net,” said Mutasa.

The new boys did not offer much with some of their experienced players who have seen duty at different levels.
But Mutasa said the first game defeat was just a setback and they will work on the grey areas.

“This is only the first competitive match and we are not throwing away everything we had planned. We are going to push and be one of the top teams.

“We need to minimise our mistakes if we want to make a mark in the league'” said Mutasa.
