Miss 21st Manicaland beauty pageant on next week

ORGANISERS of this year’s Miss 21st Manicaland beauty pageant have started scouting for models with screening process scheduled to be done tomorrow (Saturday).

Former model and A1 Modelling Agency official, Derleen Soma, said all models who were willing to be part of this year’s edition should attend the screening process and auditions which will be held at Courtauld Theatre.

The auditions will start at 12 noon. The contest is part of President Mugabe’s 92nd birthday celebrations.

“We are expecting over 20 models to take part in the prestigious pageant.

“It is a brainchild of our organisation A1 Modelling Agency and zanu-pf Manicaland Provincial Youth League. Youths expected to attend will hail from local universities, colleges and schools. Only youths between ages 18-35 will be legible to participate.

“We need girls who are not married and who haven’t been married before. The pageant will be held on February 19 at Mutare Hall,” she said’

She extended a begging bowl to stakeholders and individuals. “We are appealing for assistance to make the pageant a success. Anyone willing to assist should contact the organisers at 0772543916 or 0772564514.

This year’s edition is going to be bigger and better and we are expecting a large turnout,” said the former Miss Mutare and Miss Personality Zimbabwe.
