Miss Albinism goes all out

RECENTLY crowned Miss Albinism Queen Ayanda Sibanda from Bulawayo is hitting the road running aiming to leave a visible footprint of her reign as queen.

Basking in the glory of two crowns, Sibanda was crowned Miss Albinism soon after she was crowned Miss Teen Zimbabwe.

“We are working on various projects to raise awareness about albinism. We still have people who need to be taught that albinism is a condition that doesn’t differentiate us from anyone else,” said the model.

She has other projects that also help people living with albinism get sunscreen to protect their skin.

“We have already started one project so far where we are offering sunscreen to albinos. At the moment we are providing sunscreen to people in Binga and Bulawayo, hopefully we will reach out to more soon,” she added.

She bridged the gap by refusing to be limited to Miss Albinism when she contested the Miss Teen Zimbabwe title and won.

“I refused to be limited to Miss albinism. I believe in diversity and I have been a contestant in a number of pageants,” said Ayanda.

The sky is the only limit of the beauty as she aims to get to Miss Universe in the future.
