IT’S over to the big girls with big dreams!
A heavy duty line up of 14 women of a fuller figure will take to the ramp at the Miss Plus Size Zimbabwe pageant this Saturday in Harare.
Wing Wah restaurant will be the venue where Miss Plus Size, First Princess, Second Princess, Miss Personality and Miss People’s Choice will be chosen.
Even though the pageant faced a financial crisis resulting in some pre-show events being cancelled, the show organisers managed to get sponsors for a few.
“We had a rough start and so had to cut some events. As such we are not happy that we had to exclude other events which were going to be of help,” said Nilton Makazha the director of Miss Plus Size Zimbabwe.
He however, promised a thriller of a show.
‘‘This event is going to be exciting and therefore people should expect a great and memorable show,’’ he added.
There are 14 contestants; six from Bulawayo and the rest from Harare.
The winner will represent Zimbabwe at the Miss Plus Size Universe in Trinadad and Tobago in January next year.
