MISS Universe Zimbabwe, Sakhile Dube, has endorsed the Gospel Legends Night set for the Harare International Conference Centre on December 7.
A number of legendary artists are set to perform at the event.
They include The Charambas, Pastor G, Pastor Haisa, Minister Michael Mahendere, Mathias Mhere, Pastor Prince Mafukidze, Baba Manyeruke, Carol Mujokoro, Shuvai Wutawunashe, Fungisai Mashavave and Pastor Bonnie Deuschle.
The stage will also be graced by award-winning South African gospel giant Sipho Makhabane.
Sakhile mobilised her fans to attend the event in solidarity of the gospel legends.
“There is going to be a Gospel Legends Night in Zimbabwe, it’s not a show to miss because I will be there so people should come out in their numbers and witness the legends give us a night of worship,” she said.
United Kingdom-based songstress, Eleana Makombe, the hostess, said preparations are going well with the tickets selling quickly.
She said the gospel legends have made a mark whose footprint will live forever.
“It’s going to be a good night on December 7, where we are taking it back to the legends that made Zimbabwean gospel what it is today.
“These legends left a gap that none of us can come close to filling and it will be an honour to witness greatness in one night,” she said.
The Charambas showed they still command huge appeal, even though they have scaled down on live shows, after they attracted hundreds of fans to their show in the United Kingdom.
Eleana recently released a new song, starring Matthias Mhere, titled ‘Ndiye Mwari’.
Over the years, Sipho Makhabane has released numerous albums that have solidified his status as a gospel music icon.
He is the voice behind the hit song ‘Yek’intokozo’
