THIS year’s edition of the annual Miss Zimbabwe USA has been penciled for May, with the event being held in Atlanta, Georgia.
An organiser of the event, Patience Muzanenhamo-Lusengo, said the winner and First Princess of the event will be competing in the Miss Zimbabwe pageant in Zimbabwe.
She said the Miss Zimbabwe USA pageant sought to evoke and crown a young Zimbabwean woman possessing beauty, intelligence, purpose and one that can support, uplift and assist the Zimbabwean community in America.
“The pageant, inaugurated in 2000, has become the most prestigious, most looked forward to and respected pageant on the calendars of Zimbabweans living in the USA.
“We therefore announce that entries are now open for those that would like to participate in the event. If you are between the ages of 17 to 24 and are living anywhere in USA, of Zimbabwean origin or have least one Zimbabwean parent by birth, citizenship, or registration, you are eligible to participate,” said Muzanenhamo-Lusengo.
Previous Miss Zim USA winners include US-based celebrity reporter and blogger Makho Ndlovu, who has made a name for herself in the showbiz industry in America.
