MISSING FOR 13 YEARS!…Family’s desperate search for Sithabile

A family is appealing to members of the public for information that could help reunite them with their relative, Sithabile Nkomo (27), who has not been seen or heard from since 2013.

The search is being led by Sithabile’s paternal aunt, Lutha Nkomo, together with other members of her father’s family, including her grandfather, Cameroon Nkomo. They say they have spent years searching for her but have reached a dead end.

According to the family, Sithabile was born on 29 June 1999. They said her late father became estranged from his siblings following family disagreements, resulting in the family losing contact with Sithabile while she was still a child.

After learning of their brother’s death, the family travelled to Matshopo Village, where Sithabile had been living with her mother, hoping to trace her whereabouts.

However, they were told that Sithabile and her mother had left the area to join a church in Harare and had never returned.

The family later discovered that the church they had reportedly joined was no longer operating, leaving them with no further leads.

Despite years of searching and hoping Sithabile would eventually make contact, the family says they have not received any information about where she might be.

They said Sithabile attended Donkwe Donkwe Primary School in Kezi between 2005 and 2012, where she completed Grade Seven. They are appealing to her former classmates, teachers, neighbours and anyone who may have known her to come forward with any information that could help trace her.

“We are not looking for anything except answers. We just want to know whether Sithabile is alive, safe and well,” said the family.

After more than a decade of uncertainty, the family remains hopeful that someone will recognise Sithabile’s name and help reunite them. Anyone with reliable information about Sithabile Nkomo’s whereabouts is urged to contact the family, as even the smallest lead could help bring long-awaited answers.
