MANICA Diamonds’ dream start to the 2021-22 Castle Lager Premiership season continued with an impressive 2-1 away win over Bulawayo City as another Mutare side Tenax settled for a 2-2 stalemate with Whawha at Sakubva Stadium this afternoon.

Goals through Ticha Mabvura and Qolisani Moyo ensured the Gem Boys get maximum points while Panashe Mutasa and Farai Mugumwa were on target for the Mutare prison wardens.

While it was three points gained for the Manica Diamonds, it was two points dropped for Tenax who were expected to prevail over their equally struggling sister club.

The Catsle Lager Premiership gets into MatchDay Three in the next round of league fixtures with Manica Diamonds hosting Highlanders while Tenax make the long trip to Bulawauo for a difficult assignment against Chicken Inn.
