MUDIWA Prince Aiden Murambidzi is set to represent Zimbabwe at the prestigious Kids and Teens Global pageant in Malaysia.
It will run from February 4 to 9.
The 10-year-old model was crowned Mr Mini Africa in Nigeria last year. His manager, Indra Chinyerere, said the event in Malaysia will be a defining moment for Aiden.
“This is a huge opportunity for him to showcase his talent on a global stage, we believe he will shine just like he did in Nigeria and bring the crown home.
“He has worked incredibly hard over the years, from starting as a fashion model at just three years old to becoming the reigning Mr Mini Africa, he continues to make us proud every day.
“Aiden earned the Mini Mr Africa title last year after competing against representatives from 23 African countries at a pageant held in Nigeria,” she said.
In addition to winning the main crown, he collected multiple awards, including Best Talent, King of Multimedia, Mr Popularity, and Most Photogenic.
“One of his standout talents is his skill as a saxophonist, which earned him the Best Talent award in Nigeria.
“He’s always had a passion for music, it’s inspiring to see how he has combined his love for the saxophone with his modeling journey,” she said.
She said Aiden’s advocacy for the boy child also sets him apart as he is passionate about using his platform to speak for boys and ensure they are recognised and supported.
Aiden’s family hopes for more local recognition and support for his endeavours.
“Unfortunately, we haven’t received the backing we hoped for, I wish organisations would realise how brilliant this boy is and how much potential he has to inspire others.
“As he prepares for the Kids and Teens Global pageant in Malaysia, he is determined to make Zimbabwe proud,“ she said.
