MODEL Pauline Marere is now vying for her an environmental title after making it into the Top 15 in the Miss Environment Zimbabwe pageant.
Pauline became a finalist after launching her environmental project ahead of the finals scheduled for next month.
She joined environmental activists in the fight to curb climate change effects and build environmentally sustainable projects using her modelling journey.
In an interview, she said:
“Miss Environment Zimbabwe is a beauty pageant that raises awareness on the preservation of the environment through various projects that contestants are required to carry out.
“It’s a platform that brings young ladies from across the country together and educates them on how to become responsible environment ambassadors. So, I am excited to have made it to the finals.”
Pauline says if she wins, she would take the environmental message to the world.
“It’s always my desire to win every contest and this pageant is an opportunity for me to make my voice heard in fighting against environmental challenges.
“I am eager to go further in educating people on how to preserve the environment through my project which I started prior to the semi-finals held in Bulawayo.
“If given the chance, I will be working with environmentalists and the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry in my various projects.
“I am also expecting to partner EMA and residents,” she said.
