A well drilling company director is facing arrest for allegedly duping a client of US$500.
Prosper Chigora of Prosper Well Drillers reportedly charged Bernard Murambiwa of Bulawayo US$500 for the job, which he never finished.
He charged US$350 for well drilling and US$150 for stone blasting.
Speaking to H-Metro, Murambiwa said he met Chigora on Facebook and entered into an agreement.
“Prosper claims to have offices at Number 1 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue, which turned to be a lie since the place houses the Midlands State University campus.
“He has brought so much suffering to a number of people through his scams,” he said.
Murambiwa said he reported the case at Chegutu Police Station under CR168/08/22.
“I have more proof to support my allegations against Prosper as a fraudster.
“All I want is for him to be exposed and save more people from losing their hard-earned cash,” he said.
Contacted for comment, Chigora denied the allegations levelled against him.
“I confirm being in the well drilling business, but what those people are saying is not true.
“They a cooking up stories against me,” he said.
