MABVUKU and Tafara models are set to contest for the inaugural Miss Scottland tomorrow.
The winners will book a ticket to Dubai for Miss Milestone set for September.
Addressing the media at a press conference yesterday, Miss Scottland manager, Tendai Zhakata said participants are in two groups while the event is meant to end drug and substance abuse in the suburbs.
“We have launched a Miss Scottland aiming to eradicate poverty, end criminal activities, and deal with drug and substance abuse in Mabvuku and Tafara,” said Zhakata.
“The participants are in two groups.
“First group comprises of girls from 16 to 20 years and the other is between 21 and 28.
“We are urging parents to join hands with Miss Scottland with a view to safeguard the girl child and promote them into the tourism industry,” said Zhakata.
Among the contestants at the press conference included Tadiwanashe Mushore, 19, Tanyaradzwa Maridadi, 19, and Brenda Kandiyero, 21.
Enzo Ishal, Guspy Warrior, Tarry B, and Gerry Tight are among the artists to perform at the modelling show.
