Motivational speaker takes message to the Diaspora

United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean motivational speaker cum author Rujeko Oscars-Brown has launched the first of her ‘purposeful planning tour’ aimed at improving the lives of Zimbabweans living in the diaspora.

Rujeko this week led the first workshop at the Bridge Hotel and Spa in Wetherby, United Kingdom and has an additional six events slated for later this year.

The events will be held under the theme, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

Rujeko, whose message urges the diaspora to excel to their highest potential, says her aim is to develop a public awareness on the need for planning for the best life outcomes and for people to know the implications of not planning.

In an interview, Rujeko said the education system could help improve outcome by encouraging writing.

“Schools need to start teaching children to write things down. Writing things down helps in remaining focused and keeping motivated. You need to actually develop planning as a skill. This is true in business as it is in health and wellbeing,” she said.

“Always follow a plan in everything that you do in life, that is the only way you can operate at your full potential. It seems very simple but it has great impact on outcomes.”

She added: “Mastering the art of purposeful planning is choosing a path that leads to having abundance in all areas of life. It leads to financial security and long term wealth.”

Rujeko recently published her first book, ‘For A Season: Live Learn Grow’, which she hopes will inspire those facing adversity in life.

The book is available locally.

Rujeko is an Accredited NLP Life Coach and holds multiple degrees from the University of Bradford, Huddersfield and Sheffield Hallam in UK.
