FANS of Dorcas Moyo can barely wait as the gospel diva moves closer to releasing her ninth studio album.
Titled ‘Mhanza Haisekwe,’ the album will be released tomorrow at Chancellor Junior Primary School in Mutare.
Minister Michael Mahendere, Baba Mechanic Manyeruke and Hosiah Chipanga are some of the notable names set to grace the album launch.
Dorcas revealed what fans can expect from the project.
“The message on the album is cross-cutting in some songs.
“We promise a spiritual living, in others we seek to address social vices and still, in others, we edify people,” she said.
Dorcas’ prayer is for ‘Mhanza Haisekwe’ not to be her last album.
The album has 10 songs and a bonus track, making them 11.
“The upcoming album is my ninth album and, hopefully, not the last.
“The upcoming album is unique in the sense that there are a couple of collaborations and we have tried to align the feel to various age groups.
“I’m feeling within me that the album has the potential of going beyond imagination.
“I’m expecting that the music speaks to the people and addresses their needs.
“I pray for acceptability,”
Dorcas said that it was an honour releasing her album the same month women are being celebrated.
“It is important to have a period of time dedicated to celebrating womanhood.
“I am proud to be a woman and want to encourage all women across the globe that dream big and pursue your dreams,” she said.
