Mt Pleasant water upgrade taking shape

The City of Harare and Helcraw Water’s joint project to replace the Ward 7 water reticulation network is continuing, although progress has temporarily slowed down as additional materials are sourced.

In an interview, Ward 7 (Mt Pleasant) Councillor and Harare Deputy Mayor Rosemary Muronda confirmed this.

“Works have temporarily slowed down as they wait for additional fittings from suppliers,” Councillor Muronda said.

“Meanwhile, water production has been extremely poor due to several factors. We have been advised that reservoir levels should be sufficient to begin opening valves later this week.”

The ongoing project is expected to improve water supply in Ward 7 once complete.
