adminZANU-PF Mudzi West House of Assembly representative Cde Acquillina Katsande has died. She was 55. Cde Katsande died at West End Hospital in Harare after a long battle with kidney and heart ailments. Cde Katsande’s son Cde George Katsande confirmed the death of his mother last night, and said she would be buried in Mudzi on Monday.
She was Member of Parliament for Mudzi West from 2005 up to the time of her death. Cde Katsande was elected Zanu-PF secretary for administration for Mashonaland East in 2008 before taking over as chairperson of the party’s Women’s League in the province from 2013 to 2014, at which time a vote of no confidence was passed on her.
She is survived by five children and 12 grandchildren. — ZBC
