MULLER MAGIC! Mainline FC crush Imbizo in four-goal blitz

PLUMTREE – Mainline FC sent shockwaves through the ZIFA Southern Region Division One league with a ruthless 4–1 demolition of Bulawayo’s Imbizo FC at Dingumuzi Stadium yesterday.

The home crowd erupted as Proud ‘Muller’ Khupe lit up the turf, finding the net just five minutes after kick-off. And before fans could catch their breath, Thabo Sibanda buried the second in the 11th minute, igniting wild celebrations in the stands.

It was all one-way traffic as Limbongiseni ‘Mboma’ Nyathi added two more — first in the 27th minute, then again just five minutes later — sealing a four-goal first-half rampage that left Imbizo stunned and speechless.

Coach Siza Mguni was a picture of pride on the sidelines, his boys bossing the game with relentless attacks and rock-solid defending. The tempo, the hunger, the dominance, Mainline looked every inch title contenders.

Imbizo did pull one back in the 87th minute through Mthokozisi Nkomo, but it was merely a consolation. By then, the damage was done.

The match turned feisty in the second half, with three red cards flashing: Kedan Masango (Mainline) and Fidel Wafananaka plus Nelson Chananjo (Imbizo) were all sent for early showers after a heated exchange.

Final whistle: Mainline FC 4 – Imbizo FC 1.

Three points in the bag and a statement made! Mainline now sit on four points and look ready to take on anyone!
