Munyamana wins seventh Mr Bulawayo title

LOVEMORE Munyamana picked up his seventh consecutive Mr Bulawayo bodybuilding title at Elite 400 on Saturday night.

The 33-year-old Body Works Gym bodybuilder beat four other contestants to claim his seventh uninterrupted Mr Bulawayo title.

Thembinkosi Lunga, also of Body Works, who was runner-up last year, was second, while Peter Wenceslaus of Dynamics Gym was third.

Sprint athlete Faith Dube, taking part in a body building contest for the first time, won the women’s bikini ahead of Kylie McDonald and Sinini Nxumalo. All the women are from the Body Works Gym stable.

In the men’s physique, Marvelous Ganda of Body Works Gym was the winner followed by Tapiwa Zimhamba from the same gym and Lancelot Ndlovu.

Zibusiso Khumalo defended his junior men Under-23 title, with Blessing Timburwa taking second place and Cyprian Mwanza third.

The men’s wheelchair was won by Silayezelo Phiri ahead of Pearson Taruvinga and Mugoni Chikove. — @Mdawini_29
