ANDY Muridzo has released a tribute song titled ‘Ndangariro’ for the six Tynwald High School pupils who died along the Rusape-Nyanga Road last Friday.

Speaking to H-Metro, Muridzo’s manager, Ronald Mujuru, said their Jeetaz Band leader was devastated by the tragedy.

“It was purely out of emotions that Andy decided to work on this song,”  said Mujuru, who is handling the Afro-fusion singer’s corporate affairs.

Mujuru said Muridzo was overwhelmed when he heard the news.

And, the only way to console himself, and the accident victims’  families, was through composing a song.

“He was devastated when the news of the accident reached him.

“He is also a parent and he thought of the pain of losing a child in such a manner, it is heart-breaking.

“We had to calm him down and he decided to go and record the single as a way of remembering and honouring the accident victims,” said the manager.

Mujuru said plans were underway to release its accompanying video.

“A video will be released once everything is in place.

“Andy is a parent who has a soft spot for kids and he will do his best to ensure that we bring a smile on kids who are going through tough times.

“As an influencer, he has decided to take a lead in comforting the accident survivors, as well as the students at Tynwald High School, who are still in trauma.”
