SOUTH African double-platinum-selling Amapiano sensation Musa Keys is set to headline the Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival, which roars back to Harare on July 4 after a four-year hiatus.
The chart-topping hit-maker will lead a star-studded line-up featuring some of Zimbabwe’s finest entertainers, including Ex Q, Tamy Moyo, Takura, award-winning Tribal House outfit Djembe Monks and celebrated percussionist Wowrae, promising festival-goers a memorable winter celebration at Donnybrook Raceway.
The festival’s return marks the revival of one of Zimbabwe’s most beloved outdoor lifestyle experiences, with organisers promising an even bigger and more immersive edition.
In a statement, Delta Beverages said the festival has always represented more than just live entertainment.
“The Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival has always been more than just an event; it is a unique lifestyle and cultural experience created for our Zambezians.

“It brings people together to enjoy Zambezi Lager while celebrating the great outdoors, music and storytelling, all centred on the warmth of one large, unifying bonfire. We are excited, and preparations are well underway to bring back Zimbabwe’s Own Bonfire, the ultimate winter celebration.”
Ahead of the flagship event, Zambezi Lager has been building momentum through a series of Bonfire Micro Events staged across the country. The road to Harare began in Kadoma on June 13 before moving to Bulawayo on June 20.
Another pre-festival activation is scheduled for Harare on Saturday as excitement continues to grow ahead of the main event.
The Bulawayo edition, held at Hartsfield Tshisanyama, offered a glimpse of what festival-goers can expect when the bonfire experience returns in full force.
Despite freezing winter temperatures, music lovers turned out in large numbers for an evening of music, entertainment, and social connection, gathering around blazing bonfires that transformed the chilly night into a vibrant celebration.
A strong line-up of local DJs kept the atmosphere electric throughout the evening.
If the atmosphere, turnout, and energy witnessed in Bulawayo are any indication, the return of the Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival in Harare is poised to be one of the standout entertainment events of the winter season.
