UP-AND-COMING Afrocentric hip hop artist, Darlington “M.R CKD” Nheta, says his music should be used as a tool to elevate youths to greater heights.
The 21-year-old started singing when he was doing his Advanced Level studies and he has two albums to his name, Viva Jesus and Feltmad Book of Love Vol 1.
He said the aim was to teach the youths about how music can be used for the betterment of their lives.
M.R CKD said the youths can develop self-esteem to achieve big things, while at a tender age, if they are exposed to the right people.
“Young people are now exposed to drugs so I believe that music can bring change in our society.
“Apart from providing entertainment, my music aims to motivate them to chase and accomplish their dreams.
“My music is inspired by Leonard Zhakata,” he said.
The rapper is set to release an EP titled ‘Feltmad Book of Love Vol 2.’
He said the EP’s message is for someone who is living to make a difference.
