MUSICIAN Doubles WekwaMarange has landed a role in a television series called Viva Wenera.
The musician said his mission was to emulate some of the great musicians such as LL Cool J, Ice Cube and late 2 Pac Shakur.
He said these Americans excelled both in acting and music.
“I am happy, it’s a great step to also be involved in acting as a musician.
“I want to leave a legacy that will inspire and be remembered by many people.
“Just like 2Pac did, his movies are still classic and so is his music,” he told H-Metro.
Added Doubles:
“And, there is also LL Cool J and Ice Cube.
“I also look up to those guys.
“They did exceptionally well in acting and music, and I can also be the first Zimbabweans to do so, if God permits.”
Doubles believes that the local entertainment sector should be supported heavily by the Government.
“There is so much potential in our arts sector.
“With a lot of investment in the entertainment sector, we can conquer the world like what the Nigerians are doing right now in music and acting,” he said.
Doubles started his musical career in 2010.
His popular album, which won him many fans, is called Kenani and was released in 2020.
He also recently released a single, accompanied with visuals, titled Combo.
