Musicians to exchange musical swords

AN array of musicians drawn from different genres will tomorrow (Saturday) exchange musical swords for a philanthropy cause at Caravan Park in Masvingo. The gala is meant to raise $25 000 for renal patient Mollen Makoni-Nyamhotsi to undergo a kidney transplant operation in India.Nyamhotsi, who comes from Rusape, is a student at Great Zimbabwe University.
Saturday night’s show will be different from many other charity events held in the country as it will allow parents to bring their kids to the show, at a reduced charge of a dollar per child.

The gala, organised by the Wezhira Ndiwonewo Welfare Organisation, has the theme: ‘‘A dollar can save life’’.
The line-up for the night features Dendera musician Sulumani Chimbetu, Somandla ‘‘Mafia’’ Ndebele, Zoey, Sabastian Magacha and Mathias Mhere who have volunteered to perform for the benefit of the 27-year-old mother of one.

The artistes are renowned for the quality of their music and versatility in performing a wide range of musical styles.
The artistes have performed at a number of high-profile events and all know their stuff.
Attendees must buy tickets in advance to get space in the soccer stadium.
