Musona confident ahead of Bayern Test

in the tough world of the Bundesliga.
Musona and his TSG Hoffenheim teammates face a tough test at home to runaway leaders Bayern Munich today.

The striker believes his experience of playing in the Soweto derby will be invaluable.
“Playing in such big matches for Chiefs against Pirates has helped me to play in such big crowds in the Soweto Derby because it means I am used to the situation already,” he old KickOff.com.
“The only difference is that there are mainly white people in the stadium. German football is faster and the players are very tough, unlike some teams in South Africa.

“At Chiefs, there were some teams who we did not fear at all but in the Bundesliga there is no side that you could say this one is a small team. The league is one of the best in the world so there is a big difference from South Africa – the level of professionalism is very, very high.”

Musona believes his old team Kaizer Chiefs can still win the South African Premier Soccer League title despite their defeat to Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
The “Smiling Assassin” left Naturena for German side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the close season for a fee of around R15 million and made his Bundesliga debut as a substitute last weekend. But the 21-year-old admits he still takes a close interest in South African football and thinks Vladimir Vermezovic’s side have a great chance of ending their championship drought.

“Nothing can stop them if they can build on the good start. I believe they are the best squad in the PSL so I hope they can win the title this year,” he said.
“There’s a few Zimbabwean guys still there that I talk to and VV as well so I hear news all the time. I know they were on top of the log but lost on Wednesday but I wish them well because that’s my team.”
Musona suffered a groin injury in his first week of training at Hoffenheim but has since made two substitute appearances as his side have moved up to fourth in the table.
