Mutamangira in great debut

Scottish side after having come in as a second half substitute two weeks ago.
His club recognised his good performance on Saturday — a match he had been waiting for — with the website singling him out in the front row.
“Undaunted, Ayr continued to challenge the visitors, with some great runs in particular from new boy Denford Mutamangira, who endeared himself to the home crowd,” read part of the statement on their webpage.
“The slippery conditions caused problems for both sides, especially for Mutamangira who is still getting used to the conditions in Scotland, but this did not deter him emerging as the crowd favourite for the day.
“We’re very happy to have Thompson and Mutamangira at Millbrae.”
Thompson is a New Zealander who was signed at the same time as Mutamangira and they had their debuts on the same day.
The Scottish deal was brokered by former Zimbabwe Rugby Union president, Sithembilenkosini “Themba” Sibanda. Mutamangira was last year crowned the Forward-of-the-Year on the local rugby scene and has been consistent at Harare Sports Club and the Sables.
Mutamangira has 12 Sables caps and believes he will develop.
“My experience here will not only help me as an individual but it is an opportunity that I have to explore and make use of when I go back home (to Zimbabwe) for national call ups,” he said.
”I am hoping that I will keep getting better with each game I play and I am hopeful that we finish in the top three at the end of the season so that we qualify for the Scottish Cup and the British and Irish Cup, that is my dream.”
