MUTARE is set for a weekend of big sounds, live performances and plenty of action, with some of Zimbabwe’s most popular names sharing the spotlight with local talent and family entertainment.
From the dancehall energy of Winky D, Jah Signal and Blot to the infectious sounds of Freeman, Killer T and Junior Spragga, revellers have a full menu of entertainment to choose from.

With the Mutare Shut Down, Manicaland Agricultural Show, live jazz, DJs and club sessions all lined up, there will be little excuse for staying indoors.
Manicaland Motoring Club
Saturday promises to be a major attraction when the Mutare Shut Down brings together an impressive line-up featuring Winky D, Blot, Bling 4, Xiba, Jah Signal and Nisha Ts, among others.
Local Ragga Manyika outfit, Assegai Crew and DJ Candyman will warm up the crowd before the heavyweights take over, setting the stage for a night of dancehall, reggae and contemporary Zimbabwean sounds.
With a strong cast of performers on the bill, the show is expected to draw music lovers from across the city and surrounding areas.
Manicaland Agricultural Show
The weekend will also see families heading to the agricultural showcase for a combination of exhibitions, entertainment and outdoor activities.
Visitors can look forward to paratroopers, police displays, jumping castles and horse riding, among other attractions.

On the music front, Junior Spragga, Freeman, Killer T and Edge Sparta will take to the stage, adding a strong entertainment component to the event.
With activities catering for both adults and children, it offers an opportunity for families to spend the day together while enjoying live performances.
Fourth Street Lounge
Those looking for an urban nightlife experience can make their way to the entertainment centre, where music and socialising will take centre stage.
It provides another option for revellers looking to unwind with friends and continue the weekend after the city’s bigger events.
Chitsa Bar and Liquid
Music lovers and party animals have a packed weekend ahead at the posh joint situated at Boka Business Centre in Dangamvura, with Groovy Friday kicking things off before the tempo rises for Saturday Madness, where DJs Stixxie and Popinjo take charge with a high-energy mix of infectious beats and popular sounds.
The weekend closes on a nostalgic note with Nostalgic Sunday, as DJ Tawaz digs into the archives for old-school favourites, classic anthems and timeless grooves guaranteed to take revellers down memory lane.
Bistro
For those who prefer a more relaxed setting, Friday comes with DJ Kumbulani on the decks, while selected movies will provide an alternative form of entertainment.

Sundays remain a special feature, with Synthetic Band, a jazz group, performing live this and every Sunday. Situated uptown, the upmarket spot offers a serene atmosphere for patrons who enjoy live music in a more laid-back setting.
Club Mandisa
The entertainment centre will have Nasty DJ, Apple D and other selected DJs keeping the music flowing, while vixens will entertain patrons in the VIP section from today through next week. The extended programme gives regulars and weekend revellers another reason to make the venue part of their entertainment plans.
Gullivers
Situated opposite Megawatt, the joint will have DJ Gerry, Linxman and MC Manyama handling entertainment duties. With DJs controlling the soundtrack and MC Manyama keeping the crowd engaged, the venue is set for another lively weekend outing.
