LLOYD Mutasa says he is excited to be given the opportunity to lead ambitious ZIFA Northern Region Division One newboys MWOS FC.

He takes over from Wonder Ngoko who becomes Mutasa’s assistant. “I really feel honoured to be appointed the coach of such a big institution like MWOS FC,” said Mutasa.

“We would like to be victorious, to help MWOS get into the top-flight league and probably enhance the performance of the youngsters so that they get a step better and even play in other countries.”

Mutasa was handed a three-year contract, according to club founding patron Patrick Samson.

“MWOS FC have entrusted Lloyd Mutasa to lead the team going forward in the ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League (Division 1),” the club said in a statement.

“Wonder Ngoko will now be his assistant coach.

‘Mutasa, who signed a three-year contract, joins ‘The Punters’ from Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Green Fuels FC, where he was the head coach.

“He assisted Green Fuels FC in gaining promotion to the PSL from Eastern Region Division 1.

“Lloyd Mutasa is the holder of ZIFA’s Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 Coaching Certificates and a CAF Coaching Licence.

“He has recently been in charge of Dynamos FC and FC Platinum, where he was the head coach.

“(He) brings a wealth of experience and tactical knowledge to the team. ‘The Punters’ are confident that his tutelage will be invaluable in a league that is fiercely competitive. “The greater community of Norton, MWOS FC, sponsors, supporters, and fans welcome Lloyd Mutasa.

“All stakeholders are looking forward to his participation in continuing with the vision of developing youth talent, social cohesion, and community engagement in Norton.”
