BLESSING Muzarabani turned Sylhet into a speedway of destruction as his sizzling 6/72 ripped through Bangladesh and set Zimbabwe up for what could be a history-making Test win.
With the hosts bundled out for 255 on day four of the first Test, the Chevrons now need just 174 runs to claim victory — a total that would become their highest successful run chase in Test cricket.
The towering quick not only tore through the Tigers’ batting line-up but also bagged his third Test five-for and marked a major milestone by reaching 50 Test wickets.
Rain delayed the start, but there was no slowing down Muzarabani and crew once play got underway. Supported by Wellington Masakadza (2 wickets), Richard Ngarava, and Victor Nyauchi with a scalp each, the bowlers snuffed out Bangladesh’s resistance in the morning session.
Top scorer for the hosts was Najmul Hosain Shanto with a gritty 60 off 105 balls, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Chevrons’ charge.
By lunch, Zimbabwe were on 4/0 — just 170 runs away from cricketing glory.
The chase is on. The records are trembling.
Can the Chevrons make history?
