Mvengemvenge on tonight

A show mixing various genres and aptly titled “mvengemvenge” takes place at City Sports Bar tonight. The gig brings together jazz, dancehall, sungura and Afro-fusion and some of the artistes on the line-up are Sniper, Kapfupi, Too Open and Progress Chipfumo.
Organisers of the show said they decided to bring artists from various genres to entertain fans of various music tastes in one venue.

“It is not often that we have many genres on one stage save for some galas. Small shows separate genres but we thought it would be nice to have musicians from diverse genres playing for the same audience,” said one of the organisers.

Sniper is currently doing well with his new album “Silver Bullet” and would be looking forward to bank on the strength of dancehall music to outclass musicians from other genres.

Kapfupi has been out of limelight for some time and he is likely to use the show to show his fans that he still has the power to soldier on.

On the other hand jazz outfit Too Open would be out to serenade fans with their mellow tunes and cover tracks.

Progress Chipfumo is no stranger to City Sports Bar where he has performed several times. The talented guitarist rocks the stage in an exciting way with his talented dancing girls.

Some upcoming artists will also join the “mvengemvenge” mix to show their potential.
