A WOMAN told a court in Harare yesterday that her husband’s girlfriend allegedly poisoned her Grade 7 child, who collapsed at school.
Barbra Matara was at the Harare Civil Court seeking a peace order against Esthern Musiya.
Barbra said Esthern was her husband’s girlfriend.
She claimed Esthern has been sending threatening messages, including threats to kill her family, and that she allegedly poisoned her Grade 7 child, who collapsed at school.
“She is in the habit of threatening to kill my family.
“Yesterday, my daughter collapsed at school after being food poisoned.
“The incident occurred after Esthern had sent a message threatening to kill my child.”
Esthern denied the allegations, claiming Barbra fabricated the lies and was a violent woman.
“She is fabricating lies, I have never threatened to kill her family.”
The presiding magistrate granted a protection order valid for one year, prohibiting Esthern from contacting or approaching Barbra.
