My problem is that my mother is a hooker and the flat that we are living in is being rented for us by her married lover.
So besides this affair my mother gets paid for sex and it is so disgusting because she sometimes asks me if I have a boyfriend so that I can leave the house and hang out. I want to tell her how I feel because some of my classmates know and it’s so embarrassing because people whisper behind my back.
How can I do it without disrespecting her? Please help.
In-case you didn’t know your mother is neglecting you, and her main priority is living as a sex worker and also as someone’s small house. It is very bad because if she is going to be bringing her clients or whatever something bad might end up happening like you might end up getting raped. All you need to do is ask your mum’s close friend or relative to talk to her on your behalf and I think it might work for you.

What your mother is doing is very bad and from the looks of things, she might be enjoying it because of the fact that she has multiple sex partners.
The best solution might be to speak out for yourself because you are the one who knows how it really feels. Tell her how much you hate it because you really seem like a decent young girl and trust me you don’t deserve it at all you just deserve a normal life, girlfriend. Find other ways to tell because you are the only one who knows her inside out.

Your situation tells us a story behind another story, honestly speaking your environment is not safe at all. Counselling can be the best remedy that you can get and that might change the situation for real because I can tell that you actually not happy about it because some people at your school are talking about it behind your back.
I know how it feels like when you become the laughing stock and it must be stressing and traumatising.
You do need to confide in someone because your mom might not stop it anytime soon, so it’s best you just deal with it.

This kind of situations can never have a happy ending because she is abusing you to some extent. As she brings her clients or lovers home what message is she trying to put across to you since you are still a teenager? It’s like she does not care about you. I’m saying this because you could be sharing the same bed with her.
Ask her to spend time with you one weekend and when you do that let go of those heavy burdens from your chest and shoulders, she might just repent just keep an open mind.

Cool Lifestyle feels for you Revai but before you judge your mother, we would like to ask you to stand in her shoes for just a short while.
Let it be unequivocally clear that we are not in support of commercial sex work.
But all we are trying to do is to make you understand that sometimes people have limited options and they do what they have to do to survive. Does your mother have other means of earning money so that she can provide you with accommodation, food, education, clothing and medical care?
The best thing is for you to talk to your mother about practical solutions. There are some organisations that help women to become financially independent and maybe your mother can consider that.
The stigma from peers and friends is hard to live with but at the end of the day you have to decide who loves you more – your mother or school mates?
