FORMER Miss Bulawayo 2010 Nadia Gori, could be bidding farewell to singlehood, as she recently confirmed that she would be tying the knot to a mystery man this Saturday.

Gori, who has been based in Masvingo for a few years now, since her reign, confirmed that she was getting married.

She reluctantly revealed that she was getting married amid pregnancy rumours.

“You know people and rumours,” she said.

The 25–year-old, however, declined to divulge further information about the man she would be exchanging vows with or any other information about the wedding.

However, rumour has it that the mystery man is a wealthy businessman from Masvingo.

Nadia ventured into modelling at the age of 10 and only gained recognition when she made first princess Miss Teen Bulawayo and second princess Miss Teen Zimbabwe, both titles she earned in a single year — 2010.

At the peak of her career in the modelling industry, Gori represented Zimbabwe at the 15th edition of the Miss Tourism International pageant held in Malaysia in 2012.

During that competition she made it into the Top Five of the Miss Talent category ahead of 50 other beauties.

It was reported that despite missing out on the coveted prize, Miss Tourism International, which was won by the host country, Malaysia, she left the more than 1 000 guests mesmerised by her traditional SiNdebele footwork, as she danced to a ballad from South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

She was quoted as saying: “Being the only black girl in the pageant, I know there were a lot of people who didn’t think that I could do that. As you can see, talent and ability is not measured by one’s colour, but one’s capability,” she said.

Nadia joins a brood of other prominent models that have either tied the knot or became mothers.

Her prince charming remains a mystery until her wedding day when they exchange vows.
