Nadine Hahn heads for Egypt

sponsorship package so far with the main one being G-Tel, which is sponsoring her return air ticket to Egypt as well as spending money on the international catwalk.

“I’m geared up for the contest and it is amazing that sponsors have come on board including Cara Ross’ Root to Tip who are doing my hair, Sleek Make-Up, Total Health Gym in Avondale and last, but not least, G-Tel,” she said.

Nadine will be leaving Harare on March 16 to join the rest of the models in camp and is expected to return on March 31.

“Representing Zimbabwe is always a memorable opportunity for me to showcase to the world our culture and everything that is good about being Zimbabwean.

“I have been hitting the gym twice a day and I am confident that I will be up to the task. The challenge is that other previous models like Vanessa Sibanda and Malaika Mashandu have set the bar high and I should do a lot more,” Nadine said.

The 22-year-old beauty said she will be dressed by Designer Closet for her evening wear and cocktail dress. Apparently, Designer Closet is home to the latest fashion specialising in bridal wear, bridesmaid dresses, evening wear, men’s and ladies’ suits, accessories and shoes as well as handbags.

Besides working as the face of G-Tel where she has done a lot of charity work, Nadine says she has volunteered to work with other people in several initiatives to help the needy.

“So far I have been out and about doing charity work for G-Tel, but I am available for other initiatives besides my own.

“Those who want me to feature at their shows, promotions or whatever, they can get in touch via my Facebook page for as long as they invite me in advance,” she said.

Only a week ago, Nadine turned up at the Spin City at Borrowdale Racecourse where G-Tel were the major sponsors of the “Burn-out”.

She rolled in her G-Tel branded car and showed off her latest 707 Infinity smartphone before she paraded with other top models at the event.

Nadine is the inaugural Miss G-Tel Face of Zimbabwe, a pageant which has since raised the standards of modelling in Zimbabwe as well as taking pride in its culture and people.

Nadine will be groomed and mentored by UK-based international pageant director Hilda Mulenga who is credited for mentoring Malaika and Vanessa aka Queen Vee for international success.
