HOMICIDE detectives in Mutare are investigating a suspected murder case in which the body of a naked man was found floating in Sakubva River near Hobhouse recently.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the case.
He said the body of the yet to be identified person was discovered by Believe Mandigora (20) who was looking for firewood.
“On July 22, the informant was looking for firewood along Sakubva River when he saw the body of the deceased floating in the river. A report was made to the police and the scene was attended by detectives,” he said.
The body of the deceased was naked and in an advanced state of decomposition.
It was taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for post-mortem.
