Creatives Nabeelah Jogee and Charlene Mangweni-Furusa have been announced as the hosts for the 23rd edition of the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama).
Jogee will handle duties on the main stage, while Mangweni-Furusa will serve as the voice-over host for the event.
Nama director Tinashe Kitchen expressed confidence in the duo, highlighting their talent and experience as a perfect fit for the prestigious event.

“Nama always strives to promote diversity, growth, and innovation in the arts. With this year’s theme, #Afrofuturism, we believe we have the opportunity to lead the charge into the future of the arts in Zimbabwe and beyond.
“As such, we are proud to have Ms Jogee as our main host. She is a seasoned television presenter, best known for her work on the morning show Good Morning Zimbabwe and many other platforms.
“Supporting Ms Jogee will be former Nama award winner Mrs Charlene Mangweni-Furusa, who will serve as our voice-over host. Mrs Mangweni-Furusa is a renowned film actress, director, and radio presenter.
“We are excited to see how this all-female duo will elevate the Nama experience. This marks the first time in the history of Nama that an all-female team will host the prestigious event,” said Kitchen.
