Highlanders’ Mgijimi Voted Castle Lager PSL 2024 Fan of the Year

HIGHLANDERS fan Mayibongwe “Mgijimi” Mkhweli has been named the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s 2024 Fan of the Year.

Mgijimi is well-known for his distinctive Afro wig and his high-energy presence at matches, especially at Barbourfields Stadium, where he is often seen taking laps around the perimeter fence.

Caps United’s Richard “Chemhofela” Sande and Dynamos supporter Barbara “Achihoro” Mkwananzi secured the first and second runner-up spots, respectively.

The poll for the awards was conduct by PSL online with fans from around the country voting for their top fan in the last season.
