National development agenda gathers momentum: President Mnangagwa

The modernisation and national development agenda being spearheaded by the Zanu PF-led Government continues to gather momentum through impactful projects that improve the lives of ordinary people, President Mnangagwa has said.

The President, who is also First Secretary of Zanu PF, said this today while addressing the 27th Ordinary Session of the revolutionary party’s National Consultative Assembly.

“Our colossal revolutionary mass party remains unwavering in its commitment to the empowerment and an improved quality of life for our people.

“The modernisation, industrialisation and broader national development agenda of our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe, continues to gain momentum,” said President Mnangagwa.

He called for unity among party cadres.

“Unity among our people is stronger, peace prevails and democracy is being consolidated. Our revolutionary party-led Government is realising practical results that impact the day-to-day lives of the people. As a nation and party, we have a lot to be thankful for,” said President Mnangagwa.

The National Consultative Assembly meeting was preceded by the party’s Politburo meeting which was held on Wednesday, as well as the Central Committee meeting held on Thursday.

Ordinary Sessions of the NCA are held twice a year, while Central Committee meetings are held quarterly.
