IMMIGRATION records show that wanted fugitive Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma entered South Africa on July 5 and had not left the country before his arrest in Johannesburg on Friday.
According to information released by the South African Police Service (SAPS), Tshuma arrived at OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) on July 5, 2026, travelling on passport number 535401607.
SAPS said movement control records indicated that there was no record of him departing South Africa after his arrival.
“The passenger arrived at ORTIA on 5 July 2026 with passport number 535401607. According to the system, he did not leave South Africa,” SAPS said.
The disclosure came after Tshuma was arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg, following a joint operation involving the Hawks’ Organised Crime Unit and Interpol.
Tshuma, 45, is wanted by British authorities in connection with the deaths of his wife, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma (42), and their daughters, Natalie (15) and Nala (5), whose bodies were discovered at their home in Great Denham, Bedfordshire, in the United Kingdom.
South African police said they had begun engaging British authorities through Interpol following the arrest, with extradition processes expected to follow in accordance with South African law.
The revelation that Tshuma remained in South Africa since arriving on July 5 is expected to form part of the ongoing investigations by South African and British authorities into his movements after he left the United Kingdom.
