Ndolwane postpone album release

Bruce Ndlovu
With a big fan base in both countries Ndolwane Super Sounds frontman Martin Sibanda is set to kill two birds with one stone when they debut their album, Konke Sizokulungisa (We will fix everything), in both South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Sibanda had initially scheduled to launch the album only in Bulawayo next month, but decided to adopt a double-barrelled approach for the album to cater for his fans south of the Limpopo.

In fact, fans in South Africa will get a taste of Sibandaas album, his second since his acrimonious split from Charles Ndebele, as he is set to premiere it in that country a week before he does the same in Bulawayo.

a?I would like to let everyone know the album wonat be out as we promised to release the album end of March but it will be on 29 April. The album will be out and available both in Zimbabwe and South Africa on the same day,a? said Ndolwane manager Thandazani Nyoni.

a?We decided to make it end of April due to the demand by our fans to have a double launch, one in SA and the other in Bulawayo. At first the launch was supposed to be in Bulawayo only,a? he said.

Sibanda will launch the album in Johannesburg at Hillbrow Theatre on April 29 before travelling to Bulawayo a week later for a launch on May 6 at the Amphitheatre where he will be supported by Zinja Ziyamluma, Clement Magwaza, and Jeys Marabini.

Nyoni said that the album had been a labour of love, as Martin wanted an album that spoke to the people in their time of need.

a?The Ndolwane brand has always been about supporting the people and healing their hearts and once people get a taste of this latest album they will know that those principles in song making have not changed,a? he said.
