Ndoro to reward Tutani

ARTHUR Tutani will be gifted a car and an additional unspecified reward from Simba Bhora president, Simba “Buju” Ndoro, for guiding the club to the Castle Lager Premiership.

The title was Tutani’s third championship in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One League.

“I have utmost respect for Tutani and I’m forever grateful for what he did, not only for this Simba Bhora project, but for the Shamva community,” said Ndoro.

“He showed his character and it’s unfortunate that he is restricted from leading the team in the PSL because of his papers.

“His efforts will not go unnoticed. I’m going to buy him a car and an appreciation package for his contributions.”

Ndoro also confirmed the departure of midfielder, Ronald Chitiyo.

His departure is being attributed to the arrival of new coach, Tonderai Ndiraya.

Chitiyo and Ndiraya are reportedly not in good books.

“Chitiyo played a crucial role in our journey to the Premiership and it was our desire to continue with him. It’s really unfortunate that he has chosen to discontinue with us and we respect his decision.

“We have cleared him. There’s no bad blood between us and we wish him the best wherever he goes,” Ndoro said.

He said they are going to help their skipper, Brighton Tuwaya, 40, to secure his coaching badges.

But, while waiting for him to get started, they are going to create a post to accommodate him.

Tuwaya has been with the team from Division Two.

“Tuwaya demonstrated his leadership on and off the field throughout the journey. We are not going to stand in his way if he gets a better offer, but our wish is to assist him get his coaching grades.

“We are still considering what can be the best post for him, but in all honesty, we are keen to keep him.”

Ndoro revealed that there is great progress at Wadzanai Stadium in Shamva, and it will be ready for use by February 5.

He also reiterated that Barnabas Mushunje’s memorial match is still on the cards and it’s his wish for the match to be played at Wadzanai Stadium.

Mushunje died in a car crash towards the end of season.

Ndoro promised Mushunje’s family that proceeds from match would be given to Mushunje’s widow as capital to start her own business.

“Nothing has changed, we owe our success to Mushunje and we are going to get this game played at all costs,” said Ndoro.

“My dream is to see this game becoming the first match to be played at our new look fortress. We haven’t decided who will be our opponents, but we are going to play one of the big clubs in the land because Mushunje wasn’t an average player.”
