The National Employment Council (NEC) for Brickmaking and Clay Products officially opened new offices in Bulawayo today (Thursday), a move aimed at decentralising operations from Harare.
The event marked a significant milestone in the organisation’s efforts to enhance its outreach and commitment to serving the employment industry by broadening its inspectory services, industrial relations advice, and dispute resolution across the country.
In an interview, NEC General Secretary Ellah Rutendo Munemo highlighted the importance of this expansion, citing the organisation’s core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity. The new office is expected to serve as a hub for collaboration and a focal point for engagement, where members can share insights and work collectively towards shared national goals.
“The establishment of this regional office demonstrates the organisation’s resolve to adapt, grow, and meet the evolving needs of its members,” she said.
The General Secretary expressed gratitude to contributors, stakeholders, and the parent ministry for their support in making this vision a reality, while promising that the development is poised to strengthen connections within the industry and broaden the organisation’s services, ultimately benefiting the communities it serves.
