THE National Soccer Supporters Association, a grouping of Warriors supporters believes Michael Nees’ continued stay as national team coach is a disservice to the nation.

The German coach has struggled to impress in his role with two wins in 14 matches making him one of the worst achievers in that role in 45 years.

Adomsi Mukasi, the vice president of the supporters group accused Zifa of shortchanging the nation by not firing Nees long back. He said the coach’s results were too bad and affecting the nation in future prospects.

“We will now be going into tournaments with a weaker ranking and we will be paired against the big boys. Zifa should know that Nees continued stay as Warriors coach is a big disservice to the nation.

It is daylight robbery to the fans,” said Mukasi.
Former national team player and coach, Gibson Homela said Zifa have been too soft with Nees. He said the blame cannot be on the national coach only but the whole coaching department.

“They must all go, a local would not have been treated with kids’ gloves like this. Two wins and six draws is below the mark,” said Homela.

Under Nees the Warriors have won two games, drawn six and lost as many.
