The Inline Academy forward completed her brace three minutes before the break when she scored off a rebound after the initial attempt had been punched back into play by Immenbeck goalkeeper Milena Bargsten.
Zimbabwe could have increased their tally in the first period when Ntombiyelanga Ndlovu was denied by the bar while Erina Jeke’s shot drew a good save from the hosts’ goalkeeper.
Neshamba, who was on song, could also have added another goal in the second period.
While the Mighty Warriors swarmed their opponents’ half, their goalkeeper and captain Onai Chingawo was barely tested with the German’s first and best chance of the night arriving on 13 minutes when Katharina
Mertz sent a flashing header that, however found the Zimbabwean captain on guard.
Five minutes from time, Immenbeck could have pulled one back when Chingawo came off her line presenting striker Patricia Stelling with a chance to shoot into an empty net.
But Chingawo was saved the blushes when left back Ruvimbo Mutyavaviri dashed in to clear from the line and avert danger.
Zimbabwe were clearly the better side and their performance won them the admiration of the Immenbeck coach who rated the Mighty Warriors in the same category as most of the German Division Two sides.
Although the match attracted 435 fans, who paid to watch, the Mighty Warriors appeared to have done enough to charm the spectators.
Mighty Warriors coach Rose Mugadza largely stuck to her regular team and made two changes to the side which beat South Africa in the Cosafa final.
She dropped star midfielder Marjoury Nyaumwe, who had toothache, while gangly striker Rufaro Machingura, who had a minor injury, was introduced later in the game.
Forgotten striker Ntombiyelanga Ndlovu – back in the fold after a lengthy lay-off due to injury – also made it into the first team but struggled with her game.
The Mighty Warriors play their second match tonight when they face another third tier team SV Ahlerstedt/Ottendorf.
That game also kicks off at 7.20pm.
Mugadza hinted that she would make a lot of changes as she wants to give a run to all the 24 players who travelled here while at the same time shaping her All-Africa Games squad. Although her team won,
Mugadza said she was not happy with their overall performance.
The weather here has been unpredictable, harsh at one moment, raining the next and then sunny but this has not deterred the visitors from focussing on their intensive conditioning.
