THE Zimbabwe netball team at the regional police games here sent warning shots to their opponents by thrashing Namibia 52-22 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium yesterday.

Coach Talent Museka even had the luxury of withdrawing team captain, Pauline Jani, because Zimbabwe had opened a comfortable lead.

“Namibia are one of the strongest teams, but our ladies punished them for complacency.

“We rested Pauline with the Zambia game in mind.

“Zambia have better players, among the SARPCCO teams, and we want to beat them for the bragging rights,” said Museka.

Zimbabwe face Zambia today at the same venue.

In another match played yesterday, Eswatini drew 30-30 with Tanzania.
