NEW: 13 new suspected Cholera cases recorded

THE Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) has recorded 13 new suspected cases of cholera across the country, bringing the cumulative figure to 198.

In a statement on Wednesday, MoHCC said the new cases were recorded in Mutasa, Beitbridge, Centenary and Harare.

“Thirteen new suspected cholera cases and two laboratory-confirmed cases were reported,” reads the statement.

“The new cases were reported from Mutasa (six), Beitbridge (four), Centenary (two), and Harare Glenview suburb (one).

“Nine new recoveries, 26 confirmed cases, 181 recoveries, and one death.”

About 12 African countries, including some in the SADC region, have reported cholera cases this year.
