NEW: Ambulances for rural health centres

THE Government is set to acquire over 200 ambulances equipped with Intensive Care Units (ICU) to improve healthcare delivery in remote areas.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) said Government has already distributed 72 ambulances in rural areas, while 68 more are expected to arrive soon.

The ambulances are fitted with advanced medical equipment, oxygen tanks, ventilators, washing basins and other modern accessories.

President Mnangagwa is on record saying his administration is dedicated to improving healthcare delivery in the country.
