NEW: 14 Covid-19 new cases in Manicaland

MANICALAND yesterday recorded 14 new cases of Covid-19, almost a quarter of the 50 recorded across the whole country, according to the daily update figures released by the Ministry of Health and Child Care.

 

All the recorded new cases were local.

 

This means that the seven-day rolling average for new cases dropped to 41 from the previous day’s 43.

 

The figures also show that yesterday’s new cases in Manicaland are the second highest among all the country’s 10 provinces behind Mashonaland East (10).

 

It takes the province’s total number of cumulative cases to 29 804 and those of the entire country to 255 805.

 

Manicaland now has 113 active cases.

 

No recovery cases and deaths related to the pandemic were recorded in the province yesterday.

 

The national recovery rate still stands at 97 percent.

 

Meanwhile, 6 314 274 people have received the first dose of Covid-19 while 4 662 375 have been inoculated with the second jab. 895 971 have received the third shot of the vaccination.
