NEW: A song for the heartbroken

BUDDING musician Rashid Mugodhi (better known as Shidmichael) has dropped a new track titled “Ndokubata Bhoo (Ndidewo)”, which is a dedication to those recovering from heartbreak.

The track was produced by Trinnie Beats.

“The song is inspired by love. Basically, we are talking about how people fall in love with the wrong people and when the right person comes through, they turn him or her down because of previous nasty experiences,” Mugodhi told The Sunday Mail Online.

“But we are trying to highlight that love, like a coin, has two sides. Just because you have been treated badly before does not mean the next person will also be bad.”

The musician said he hopes to grow his music brand despite facing some serious financial setbacks.

“You can release a track that is amazing, but because you do not have the finances to market it, it ends up reaching a few people, which is so heart-breaking,” he said.

“As an artiste, I hope to engage a huge audience in the process growing my career,” he said.

Mugodhi has so far released four tracks – “Ndoenda Newe” (2020), “Kana Usipo” (2019), “Tears” (2020) and “Ndakusuwa” (2022).
