NEW: All set for Castle Tankard

BOOKMAKERS have placed Grand Warrior, from the Debra Swanson yard, as the firm favourite to win the 2023 Castle Tankard race at Borrowdale Race Course on May 6.

The final field for the 63rd edition of this Grade One race was done at Borrowdale Race Course on Tuesday, with bookmakers placing a 1:1 odd for Grand Warrior.

A total of 15 horses will race, with seven of them coming from the Swanson yard.
Down To Business, which has an 8:1 odd, Dindingwe (10:1) and Ideal View (25:1) are all from the Swanson yard.

Bridget Stido has four horses – Only Him (7:1), Wantage (14:1), Lily Blue (20:1) and rank outsider, Citrusdal at 33:1.

Trainer, Vanessa Birke, will field two horses, Mr Greenlight at 20:1 and Holy Land at 9:1.
