NEW: All set for Mutare District Agric Show

ALL is set for the Mutare District Agricultural Show set for this Friday, with organisers saying preparations are nearing completion.

Mutare District agricultural extension officer, Ms Bertha Mashayamombe said the event, which will be held at Matanda Secondary School, presents farmers with an opportunity to showcase their produce as well as create synergies with other businesses in the agricultural sector.

She said 22 exhibitors have already secured stands for the displays.

“Preparations for the Mutare District Agricultural Show are at an advanced stage. Matanda Secondary School near Bezley Bridge will host the event. Our extension officers are assisting with the preparations and farmers are expected to display a variety of produce grown in the district . 22 farmers have so far secured exhibition stands. The show starts on Thursday, with the main event happening on Friday, September 1,” said Ms Mashayamombe.

She added that the best exhibitors will walk away with various prizes that include scotch carts, among others.
